Joshua Bonney Named to The Bond Buyer’s 2023 Rising Stars List

Congratulations to Orrick’s Joshua Bonney on his selection to The Bond Buyer's 2023 Rising Stars list, which recognizes leading municipal finance professionals under the age of 40. Joshua is the firm’s eighth consecutive lawyer named to The Bond Buyer’s Rising Stars series, which launched in 2016.

The Bond Buyer recognized Joshua for his broad-reaching public finance practice, which includes work in his home of Washington, D.C., and throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the U.S.

Joshua represents state and local governments as well as for-profit and nonprofit corporations in tax-exempt financing transactions for public infrastructure, affordable housing, transportation, education, healthcare, energy and other public finance sectors.

He is part of an Orrick public finance group that regularly serves as bond counsel, special tax counsel and underwriters’ counsel on transactions for the District of Columbia, District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority and Bonneville Power Administration, among other agencies.

Since the start of his career in 2017, Joshua has closed over 140 debt transactions aggregating more than $8.5 billion in principal amount.
