Danny leads the briefing and argument of appeals and key motions in state and federal courts across the country. He brings extensive practical experience to every engagement—briefing dispositive motions, preserving appellate issues, and developing creative legal strategies that position cases for success at every stage. His work spans a wide range of subject matter areas including securities, bankruptcy, contracts, mass torts, intellectual property, antitrust, and criminal law.
Danny is a seasoned financial services and bankruptcy litigator. He represents leading financial institutions, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Mr. Cooper, Ocwen, and UBS, in major contractual and securities disputes with billions of dollars at stake. Danny has argued key motions and appeals in some of the largest and most consequential bankruptcies, with a particular emphasis on cross-border insolvency disputes. Danny also represents leading technology companies in precedent-setting litigation, including challenges to state and local ballot initiatives targeting this sector and raising novel questions of constitutional law.
Danny maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on criminal, immigration, and LGBTQ+ rights matters in the Supreme Court and federal appellate courts. He also serves on the Board of Directors of The Legal Aid Society and as a member of the Second Circuit’s pro bono panel.
Before joining Orrick, Danny served as a law clerk to Justice Ginsburg as well as Judge Robert A. Katzmann of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
