Orrick Promotes Three to Partner in London


Orrick is delighted to announce the promotion of three lawyers in London to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2020.

In the last six months, Orrick’s London office has added seven partners in its Cyber & Data Privacy Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement, Capital Markets, Energy and Infrastructure, Banking & Finance and Tax Groups. They include top cyber & data lawyers Keily Blair and James Lloyd from PwC, tech-focused capital markets partner Ed Lukins from Cooley, Anthony Kay and Richard Hanson, rising stars in finance, from Latham & Watkins and Ropes & Gray respectively, Jonathan Rosen to our tax practice from Akin Gump, and Hannah Roscoe in Energy & Infrastructure from Herbert Smith.

Katie Cotton is a member of our M&A and Private Equity team, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions involving technology companies. She advises corporates, investors and investment banks on mergers and acquisitions, equity financings on the public markets, joint ventures and strategic investments. 

Jamie Moore is a member of our Technology Companies Group. Recognised by Legal 500 UK for his venture capital work, Jamie counsels high growth technology companies throughout their life cycle from startup to unicorn, as well as VC firms and investors on transactions across a broad range of sectors both in the UK and internationally.

Ian Shaw heads our employee share schemes and incentives practice in London. Recognized by Chambers UK for his work in this area, Ian advises public and private companies on the design, implementation and operation of share-based incentive plans, particularly tax-favoured arrangements. He also advises on the share schemes aspects of IPOs and a broad range of international M&A transactions.
