Orrick Advises La Banque des Territoires on Strategic Wind Energy Partnership with Ostwind

Orrick advised French public investment group La Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Dépôts Group) on its long-term strategic partnership with Ostwind for the construction and the operation of several onshore wind farm projects. This includes the Gault-Soigny wind farm, which just came to a financial closing.

Orrick has advised La Banque des Territoires since 2017, including the negotiation and signing of the framework agreement for the acquisition by La Banque des Territoires of stakes in several project companies held by Ostwind, a company specialized in the development and the operation of wind power projects. A diverse range of projects have been completed in the context of this strategic partnership, with a total volume of approximately 60 MW. Several projects included in the partnership were financed by the Banque Publique d’Investissement. The Orrick team assisted La Banque des Territoires on the negotiation process for the partnership agreement and the documentation for each project.

The Orrick team was led by partner Amaury de Feydeau and of counsel Geoffroy Berthon, and also included George Rigo and Doriane Salimon on the corporate aspects, Amaury de Feydeau, and Giovanbattista Gianni on the finance aspects, and Jean-Luc Champy, Geoffroy Berthon and Janina Dahmouh on the regulatory aspects and the negotiation of project contracts.
