Orrick has advised London fintech startup Nivaura on its $20 million seed and seed extension capital funding round. Led by the London Stock Exchange Group, Santander InnoVentures, Transamerica Ventures and Digital Currency Group, the round also featured investments by law firms Allen & Overy, Linklaters and Orrick.
Founded in 2016, Nivaura focuses on automating the issuance and administration processes for financial instruments. Since its inception, the company has executed the world’s first fully automated cryptocurrency-denominated bond issuance that is also cleared, settled and registered on a public blockchain infrastructure and created the world’s first blockchain-based investment product.
With this investment, Nivaura plans to expand its leadership, business development and technical teams in order to accelerate its growth.
The Orrick London Tech Companies team advising Nivaura included Chris Grew, Alex Gest, Charles Baker and Abdul Khan.
