Orrick advises Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations on Investment in Holiday Village Joint Venture Alongside HPC Group

January.14.2019

Members of Orrick’s Paris team advised Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations on an investment, alongside the HPC Group, in a joint venture that will develop, hold and operate a holiday village with a land area of 58,000 sq. m. and a floor area of more than 18,000 sq. m. at Grau-du-Roi, France.

The seaside resort will include 398 accommodations, and leisure facilities, including a bathing area, several swimming pools, sports facilities, a performance hall, several bars, a restaurant, and a parking area of 446 parking spaces. Special attention was paid to the environmental aspects of the site design, including the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof, with the goal of obtaining a BBC Effinergie label. A strategic guideline for this project was preserving the coastline through the thermal renovation of the housing and the preservation of the existing plant species.

Orrick partner Sarah Fleury led the team with assistance from Agnès Druot for the real estate and corporate aspects and Laure Seror for the financing aspects of the transaction.
