Orrick Paris Office Hosts Inspiring Fifty France Event Honoring Women in French Tech

December.18.2018

On December 11, 2018, our Paris office hosted Inspiring Fifty France, an event honoring women in the French tech sector. The event was hosted in partnership with The Innovator, a magazine devoted to digital transformation, and Criteo, a French personalized retargeting company.

Inspiring Fifty is a global initiative that seeks to increase diversity in tech and inspire the next generation of women leaders by making female role models more visible. 50 honorees were selected by a jury based on their achievements and contributions to tech and innovation in France. Among the 50 women leaders and entrepreneurs recognized were the former French Minister Fleur Pellerin, the Founder of Korean Korelya Capital, the CDO of AccorHotels, the CTO of Vinci Construction, the director of BPIfrance’s The Hub, and the director of non-food e-commerce at Carrefour.

Orrick partner Diane Lamarche was member of the jury, along with the Editor-in-Chief of The Innovator, the General Director of France Digitale and the Director of Leonard, the innovation and transformation program of Vinci. Benjamin Cichostepksi introduced the event and highlighted Orrick’s core values and the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. A deputy from the French Parliament, Laure de La Raudière, who is a specialist on digital age issues and the co-writer of a report on the Blockchain that will be soon submitted to the French Parliament, was guest of honor and made a closing speech after the award ceremony. More than 70 people attended from Criteo, Orange, Vivatechnology, Airbus Ventures, Vinci and LinkedIn, among others.
