Orrick has advised 8minutenergy Renewables, the largest independent solar power developer in the U.S., on the sale of the equity interests in its Springbok 3 solar farm to Capital Dynamics. The 121 megawatt project in Kern County, California will break ground later this year, with commercial operation slated for June 2019.
8minutenergy will continue to be the project developer and construction manager on the project. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Orrick team was led by John Cook and included Louise Gibbons, Lauren Webb, Stephan Wagner, Bob Lawrence, Cory Lankford, Eric Stephens, Wolfram Pohl and Dao Huynh.
