Orrick has advised wellness brand Care/of on its $29 million Series B financing round. Led by Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, existing investors Goodwater Capital, Juxtapose, RRE Ventures and Tusk Ventures, along with Doug Hudson, former CEO of the Smile Direct Club, and Beth Kaplan, the former President of GNC, also participated. Ms. Kaplan also will join the Care/of Board of Directors.
Launched in 2016, Care/of delivers fully personalized vitamin and supplement packs to its customers. It plans to use this new round of capital to grow beyond its vitamin offering towards a broader vision of a personalized and holistic health and wellness experience.
The Orrick team advising Care/of was led by partner Pete Fusco and included associates Jonathan Chou, Frank Paz, Kate O'Laughlin, Andrew Rembis and Maria Bergenhem. We previously advised Care/of on its Series A financing in July 2017.
