Peter Connors Elected Secretary-Treasurer of American College of Tax Counsel

Congratulations to Orrick tax partner Peter Connors on being elected Secretary-Treasurer of the American College of Tax Counsel. 

The American College of Tax Counsel is a professional association of tax attorneys who are recognized for their extraordinary accomplishments and professional achievements and for their dedication to improving the practice of tax law. Membership into the College is by nomination and election only; self-nomination is not permitted. A fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel for more than a decade, Peter was unanimously elected to the position of 2nd Circuit Regent in 2015 and appointed Chair of the Nominating Committee in February 2018. He was elected Secretary–Treasurer on May 11. As Secretary-Treasurer, Peter will have responsibility for the financial affairs of the College and will participate in both in matters affecting the College as well as the conduct of other projects that the College undertakes.

Peter, who focuses his practice on cross-border transactions, is chair of Orrick’s International Tax Practice and co-chair of Orrick’s Tax Advocacy Group. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association and is on the Appointments to Tax Court Committee of the American Bar Association Tax Section. He is also a Vice President of the International Fiscal Association.
