Orrick advised the founding shareholder of SIMICON GmbH on the sale of the company to Mesa Laboratories, Inc., a U.S. technology innovator.
SIMICON is a Munich-based producer of certified cleaning- and bio-indicators, used to assess the effectiveness of sterilization processes and hygienic reprocessing cycles.
Mesa Laboratories offers quality control and analysis solutions for the pharmaceutical, health and food industries, as well as for occupational safety and monitoring. By integrating SIMICON into the bio-indicator segment of the company, Mesa Laboratories will strengthen their access to the German and European market. Mesa Laboratories will continue to operate from the Munich facility using existing management, staff and operating procedures.
