Yale Law Women Recognize Orrick as a Top Ten Family Friendly Firm

Orrick is named to Yale Law Women's (YLW) list of the Top Ten Family Friendly U.S. Law Firms for the fifth time. The list evaluates family friendliness among law firms ranked in the Vault 100, taking into account hours requirements, part-time and flex-time options and parental leave policies, including usage by female and male lawyers.

In addition, YLW honored Orrick as a standout firm in two important categories of family friendliness: Highest Percentage of Attorneys Promoted to Partner in 2016 Who Have Worked Part-Time or Flexible Full-Time Schedules and Greatest Number of Weeks Offered for Caregiver Leave. The firm’s primary caregiver leave program, introduced in 2015, is the high watermark among law firms, providing lawyers with 22 weeks of paid leave and nine months of job protection, and staff with 14 weeks of paid leave and seven months of job protection.

Orrick recently announced several enhancements to the benefits the firm offers to lawyers and staff who are parents, including “guardrails" that give lawyers the option of working predictable hours upon returning from leave.
