Orrick Receives Top Marks in Asian Legal Business’ Annual IP Rankings

For the fifth consecutive year, Orrick ranked as a Tier 1 firm for Chinese patent matters by Asian Legal Business (ALB). The firm also ranked Tier 1 for Chinese copyright and trademark matters, Tier 1 for Japanese patent matters and Tier 2 for Japanese copyright and trademark matters. Published in the May 2017 issue, ALB’s IP rankings are determined by the team size and presence in Asia, developments of the practice, the volume, complexity and size of work undertaken, key clients, as well as firm visibility and profile in the region over the past year.

With top marks earned in three more categories than last year, this year’s rankings attest to Orrick’s commitment to the Asian marketplace. The firm’s China IP team is consistently recognized as one of the best in the country. Earlier this year, Xiang Wang was named “IP Lawyer of the Year” by Asian Lawyer, and in 2016, Managing IP recognized Orrick as “China Foreign Law Firm of the Year.”
