A National Law Journal (NLJ) article features Josh Rosenkranz as one of three leading Supreme Court practitioners based outside Washington, D.C. In the article, the NLJ’s Supreme Court reporter Tony Mauro notes that despite the “growing dominance of Washington-based lawyers at the Supreme Court lectern” and “fewer and fewer outside-the-beltway lawyers from private firms,” Josh has a flourishing practice based in New York. "That was the bet I made hanging out my shingle in New York," Rosenkranz told NLJ. To which Mauro wrote: “It took a while, but has paid off.”

The article cites Josh’s record of arguing 12 cases before the Supreme Court, with his 13th set for this fall in Lightfoot v. Cendant Mortgage. It also touts the growth of Orrick’s Supreme Court and appellate practice, which has expanded to five partners and 22 associates since Josh started it seven years ago.
