May.19.2016

Orrick is pleased to announce that partner William Molinski has been appointed the leader of the firm's Los Angeles office. In this role, Bill will set strategy for the firm's LA office, which is one of 25 offices worldwide and includes nearly 70 lawyers with market leading practices in litigation, technology, finance and real estate.  Bill succeeds Michael McAndrews, who steps into the role of the firm’s global real estate practice group leader. Orrick's real estate team advised on more than $14 billion in deals in 2015.

Previously the head of Orrick's Commercial Litigation practice, Bill is a seasoned trial lawyer who acts for clients such as Dish Network, PricewaterhouseCooper and Applied Materials. He was named one of California Lawyer's 2011 "Attorneys of the Year".

"We have terrific momentum on our Los Angeles practice and I am excited to work with the team to take our practice to the next level," said Bill.

Mike McAndrews, who led the firm's LA office for 14 years, represents real estate investment funds, private equity funds, financial institutions and corporate clients in engagements including financings aggregating in excess of $4 billion.
