Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP (“Orrick”) is representing USAA Real Estate Company, in a joint venture with developer SteelWave (formerly Legacy Partners Commercial), on the Phase II development of America Center in San Jose, California.
Phase II, which celebrated its groundbreaking on May 23, will add two additional state-of-the-art office buildings, a fitness center, parking structure and multiple outdoor amenities to this premier mixed-use development.
In 2013, Orrick represented USAA Real Estate Company on the acquisition of America Center as well as the adjacent development site, which now serves as the location for Phase II. America Center is the headquarters for leading high-tech corporations Polycom and Flextronics. “USAA is a great client, and we are delighted to be able to represent them in this transaction. It’s an exciting project, and we are thrilled to be a part of it,” said Michael Liever.
