Orrick represented Southwest Generation in the acquisition of three gas-fired power plants in California from affiliates of Fortress and PurEnergy. The plants include: Goal Line, a natural gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility with a total capacity of 49.9MW located in Escondido, California; Kingsburg Cogeneration, a natural gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility with a total capacity of 34.5MW located in Kingsburg, California; and Colton Power, two simple-cycle natural gas-fired peaking facilities with a combined capacity of 3.2MW located in Colton, California.
