Orrick Represents Toyota Industries in its $2.3 Billion Acquisition of Toyota Motor Credit


Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP represented Toyota Industries Corporation and its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Toyota Industries Commercial Finance, Inc., in their $2.3 billion acquisition of substantially all assets relating to Toyota Motor Credit Corporation’s commercial finance business.

Through the acquisition of Toyota Motor Credit Corporation’s commercial finance business, Toyota Industries Corporation aims to promote its industrial vehicle sales operations on a global scale, capitalizing on the know-how and resources that the acquired business has accumulated over approximately 30 years, and to further expand its industrial vehicle business.

The Orrick team advising on the matter was led by M&A and private equity partner Hiroshi Sarumida and included tax assistance from John Narducci and James Larkin and employment benefits assistance from Mitch Pahl.
