Orrick congratulates litigation partner Darren Teshima on his selection to the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) 2015 Best Lawyers Under 40 list (BU40). This annual list recognizes individuals who have “achieved prominence and distinction in their respective fields,” and have demonstrated a “strong commitment” to the Asian Pacific American legal community.
“These distinguished lawyers represent some of the best in their field under the age of 40,” said NAPABA President George C. Chen. “As these 14 men and women continue to make strides in their respective careers, the pipeline for national Asian Pacific American leaders in the legal profession appears bright.”
Darren is a partner in Orrick’s Insurance Recovery group. His commercial litigation practice focuses on the representation of corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, including cyber coverage and data breach matters. Darren represents clients in the financial services, technology and retail industries, advising them on a variety of insurance issues, and litigating against their insurers.
Darren is active in Orrick’s recruiting and diversity and inclusion initiatives; works on numerous pro bono matters; and is a highly engaged and active community member both inside and outside of the firm. He has served on the board of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, and currently serves on the boards of Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Asian Law Caucus, the Center for Gender & Refugee Studies and Legal Services for Children.
