Intellectual Property Group of the Year: Orrick

Law360
February.03.2015

Law360 has selected Orrick’s Intellectual Property team for its annual Practice Group of the Year list.

This was the second consecutive year that Orrick’s IP practice was recognized among the best by Law360. During 2014, the team secured a series of critical wins for DISH Network in a case centered on DISH's innovative Hopper Whole-Home HD DVR, as well as an appellate reversal for client Oracle against Google in what has been described as the "World Series of copyright cases."

According to Law360, "Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP scored a major win for Oracle Corp. in a high-stakes dispute over Google Inc.'s Android operating system and successfully defended Dish Network Corp. from a copyright suit by the TV networks over its Hopper DVR, landing the firm among Law360's Intellectual Property Groups of the Year."
