Orrick emerging companies partner Stephen J. Venuto has been named by NASDAQ Private Market to its new Board of Advisors. The six-member advisory board will advise the market maker on the legal and regulatory policies affecting the private capital markets including minimum disclosure criteria and the appropriate market structure for the trading of private unregistered securities, according to a release from NASDAQ.

A member of Orrick’s Emerging Companies Group in California, Mr. Venuto was recently named to the Daily Journal’s list of Top 100 Lawyers in California, as well as its list of the top Emerging Companies Lawyers in California. Last year, American Lawyer named him Dealmaker of the Year in recognition of his work on Instagram’s sale to Facebook.
