The Daily Journal has named Orrick partners on its annual list of California's top 75 intellectual property litigators. The publication, which considers hundreds of nominations from around the state, acknowledged the firm's noteworthy representations of Apple, Microsoft and Nvidia.

Recognized for his commitment to internet safety and security, Silicon Valley intellectual property partner Gabriel Ramsey was named to the Daily Journal's Top IP Litigators list for the second consecutive year. Over the last three years, Gabe has been working with Microsoft's digital crimes unit in successfully dismantled three “botnets,” including the “Rustock” botnet which comprised over one million compromised computers and was capable of sending 30-40 billion spam email messages per day.
Already named three times to the Daily Journal's Top IP Litigators lists, Silicon Valley intellectual property partner Chris Ottenweller was once again honored for his success in representing high-profile clients in patent disputes including advising Intel, Apple, Numonyx and Sony Ericsson at the Federal Circuit against Fast Memory Erase, a subsidiary of well-known patent troll Acacia. Chris also was recognized for his work on behalf of Apple in a smartphone patent war with S3 Graphics before the International Trade Commission.
