Orrick Selected as Leading Litigation Department and Josh Rosenkranz Named Litigator of the Year

January.03.2012

The American Lawyer has named Orrick among the nation’s top litigation departments for the second consecutive time -- and has named Josh Rosenkranz Litigator of the Year.  The American Lawyer introduced the Litigator of the Year category this year, and Rosenkranz is one of only three winners nationwide.

Law 360 also named Rosenkranz as one of its Appellate MVPs

In selecting Orrick, The American Lawyer noted the firm’s record in “winning appeals that reversed devastating lower court actions” and delivering Tessera a “rare defeat at the International Trade Commission.”

The American Lawyer commended Josh for a string of bet-the-company wins, including convincing the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to reverse an earlier judgment to transfer the Bratz brand to Mattel Inc. and persuading an en banc Federal Circuit "to vacate a crippling injunction and $400 million in damages" for Echostar, among others.
