Jennifer Martin, a partner in Orrick's Cyber, Privacy, & Data Innovation Practice, co-authored an article with Chimène I. Keitner, Professor of International Law at UC Hastings College of the Law, on the reach of the California Consumer Privacy Act. Jennifer and Chimène examine this new privacy law and discuss jurisdictional issues raised by such a statute, zeroing in on the potential impact for foreign businesses. Chimène, an authority on international law and civil litigation, is currently serving as Orrick's inaugural Scholar-in-Residence.
