SEC Enforcement Sharpens Focus, Expands, Based on Five Specialized Units


Elaine Greenberg, a partner in Orrick’s Securities Litigation, Investigations and EnforcementPractice, recently spoke with Bloomberg BNA Securities Law Daily regarding the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) decision to create specialized enforcement units five years ago. Elaine, who served as the National Chief of the Specialized Unit for Municipal Securities and Public Pensions during her time at the SEC, weighed in on how the creation of these units enabled the SEC’s Enforcement Division to better share specialized knowledge, among other advantages.
