Employment law partner Patricia Gillette discussed steps that working mothers can take to forge a path to success in the article “The Rule Breakers,” which appeared in the August/September issue of Working Mother magazine. By serving on the board at her children’s school, she was able to find clients among her community and friend relationships, and made friends with her clients by inviting them to cook or hike with her, two of her favorite hobbies. "I'm not a rule follower and never have been," Ms. Gillette said. "And I credit my success to that."
The article interviewed working mothers who have succeeded in the legal field and included profiles of the "50 Best Law Firms for Women" selected by Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers. This is the sixth time that Orrick has been named to the Working Mothers-Flextime Lawyers list.
