Export Control Reform Regulations Going Into Effect

International Trade & Compliance Alert
October.14.2013

Orrick’s International Trade & Compliance Group issued an alert analyzing the first set of amendments implementing export control reforms to become effective. These amendments will modify the U.S. State Department’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations, which generally apply to military items, and the U.S. Commerce Department’s Export Administration Regulations, which generally apply to commercial “dual use” items. They address the export of aircraft, certain aircraft engines and related items.
