The event attracts 10,000 international attendees, including 3,000 founders, more than 800 investors and 175 speakers, with the support of 150 student volunteers. Panathenea brings together leading global players for a dynamic week of technology, culture and sports events across Athens.

As the exclusive partner for the Speakers Dinner, Orrick will host this special gathering at a historic venue with a unique view of the Parthenon. George Pothoulakis from Orrick’s Boston office has been closely involved in building the firm’s presence within the Greek tech ecosystem and will also be joining the event, further strengthening Orrick’s global engagement with the international startup community.

George is specialized in all areas of general corporate/securities law and in a wide variety of transactions (ex. venture financings, secondary offerings, redomestications, M&A and public offerings). His practice spans the entire corporate lifecycle, from inception to exit/liquidity, and includes the representation of companies and investors from various industries (ex. life sciences, health tech, energy tech, A.I, machine learning, robotics and blockchain).

In addition to his extensive experience in private practice, George previously served as the lead lawyer of Boehringer Ingelheim's U.S.-based venture fund, where he oversaw and supported all legal aspects of the venture fund's investment activities in the United States and Canada. During his time there, George also supported the venture fund's parent pharma company as lead counsel in several global financing and M&A transactions.

Uniquely positioned as a business advisor within Orrick, Raph drives opportunities for clients throughout the technology sector across Europe and Great Britain.

Raph supports existing clients & assisting in identifying new opportunities, drive execution on expanding client relationships. He is also tasked with raising the firm’s profile in key markets, sectors and practices. Prior to joining Orrick, Raph served as Business Development Partner with C4 Ventures, in charge of Fundraising and LP relationships. He also founded & managed the Startupbootcamp IoT Program, which invested in more than 30 early-stage companies. Until 2011, Raph occupied various responsibilities at a leading tech company (U.S.) , closing with the role of Head for iPhone & iPad in Business for Europe based out of London.

An international keynote speaker with a background in sales, marketing & strategic business development, Raph also serves in advisory roles for various companies:
