Webinar | January.15.2020
The OCC and FDIC last month proposed a long-anticipated overhaul of the rules governing Community Reinvestment Act compliance — rules that were last revised in the mid-1990s. Their proposal, which the Federal Reserve notably did not join in issuing, would bring sweeping changes to how banks comply with a law designed to make sure they meet the credit needs of the communities in which they do business.
Join Orrick attorney Warren W. Traiger as they discuss the proposed rule, initial reactions of the banking industry, community advocates, and government entities, and what comes next in the rulemaking process.
Webinar filmed prior to the combination of Buckley and Orrick in 2023.
