Every one of our careers has been shaped by invaluable coaching from mentors. And we believe strongly in paying it forward.

The best mentoring is often informal. But we don’t want to leave it entirely to chance. So, we have programs to help you develop mentor and sponsor relationships at every stage of your career. We offer training and tips from mentoring guru Werten Bellamy, and a partner in each business unit makes sure mentoring relationships are working. We also check in with our associates annually to solicit their feedback on the mentoring they have received. When you become a senior associate, we work with you to identify a sponsor who will coach you through partnership consideration and succeeding as a junior partner – or support you with wherever you decide to go next with your career. In-house career coaches are also available to you to help you navigate the firm, understand performance feedback and plan your career.
