Gil is a member of Orrick’s Energy and Infrastructure team.


He advises developers and sponsors operating in the energy sector on a wide variety of matters, including tax equity financings, energy storage acquisitions, power purchase and sale agreements, and EPC and supply agreements. Prior to joining Orrick, Gil worked as an economic consultant for the World Bank in their Kigali, Rwanda, office.

    • Borealis AG and NOVA Chemicals Corporation in the negotiation of definitive agreements with Total S.A. to form a joint venture in petrochemicals on the U.S. Gulf Coast.
    • 8minutenergy Renewables LLC in the sale of the Mount 252 MW Signal 3 Solar Project located in Imperial County, California to Capital Dynamics.
    • A solar development company in raising $385 million in tax equity financing for solar projects in the United States.
    • A major energy company in the sale of energy storage units throughout California.
    • A energy developer in the sale of development stage solar projects with a combined capacity of 34 MWs.
    • A major energy developer in the purchase of land and wind turbine equipment for projects in Texas.
    • A waste-to-biofuels developer in connection with an approximately $170 million tax exempt bond financing in Nevada.
