Marina Balzano is a partner in Orrick’s Italian Banking & Finance team.
She has acquired extensive experience in assisting major Italian and international banking groups (e.g. Intesa Sanpaolo, Banco BPM, Crédit Agricole and Deutsche Bank) in all types of financings with a solid experience in leveraged finance and acquisition finance, corporate and real estate finance.
She assists either issuers and investors as private debt funds in bonds and unitranche financings.

Also, she is independent director of Industrie Chimiche Forestali, First Capital S.p.A., Defence Tech S.p.A. and Anthilia SGR and member of La Carica delle 101, a non-profit organization that supports Italian start-ups in their growth path in the Italian market.
Marina is ranked Band 5 in Chambers and Partners Global and in Legal 500 for Banking & Finance and in the leading Italian legal directories TopLegal and Legalcommunity, which recognised Marina’s team as “Banking & Finance Team of the Year” in 2020 and Marina as lawyer of the year leverage finance in 2023.
