Yuko Ino is a partner in Orrick’s Tokyo office. She regularly counsels domestic, regional and international funds in sophisticated real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions, construction and development projects, financings, fund formation, joint ventures, and restructurings and workouts.

Yuko also handles various aspects of cross-border and domestic business transactions including energy projects, fintech related projects, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, international disputes, compliance matters, and general corporate matters.

Before joining Orrick, she worked at Morrison & Foerster from 2006 to 2010. Previously, she worked at Yanagida & Partners (formerly known as Yanagida & Nomura), a Japanese law firm in Tokyo.

    • Representing international investment funds with numerous real estate acquisition, real estate debt acquisition, joint venture and financing transactions across Japan, including office, retail, residential and hospitality properties.

    • Representing the U.S. real estate subsidiary of one of the largest Japanese conglomerates on its major equity investment in an office building development in New York City. The high profile project will be the first full-block office development on Manhattan’s Park Avenue in nearly 60 years.

    • Advising a consortium of developers, consisting of GE Energy Financial Services, Toyo Engineering Corp. and Kuni Umi Asset Management Co., in connection with the development and project financing for the approximately 231MW solar facility being built in Setouchi, Okayama Prefecture, the largest of its kind in Japan to date.

    • Advising a publicly traded company in connection with its compliance with an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission under the Financial Instrument and Exchange Act.

    • Advising a real estate broker and asset manager with respect to the structuring of crowd-funding investments.
