Orrick Bolsters National Energy Finance Team

• Jeff Kayes and Adam Griffin have joined the firm as partners in our Energy & Infrastructure Group in San Francisco and New York, respectively.
• Adam and Jeff bring extensive experience in energy and renewables project financings and tax equity transactions, bolstering an Orrick Chambers Band 1 ranked U.S. renewables team.
• They join Orrick from Baker Botts where Jeff served as chair of the firm’s Project Finance practice.
• They follow the arrivals of Teresa Hill, who advises corporate purchasers of renewable energy, from K&L Gates, and Julia Balas, a project development advisor, from Morrison & Foerster, who joined Orrick earlier this year.

Jeff focuses on renewables debt transactions, advising lenders and borrowers in leveraged acquisitions and project financings. He also counsels clients in the acquisition and divestiture of wind, solar, biomass, hydro and natural gas energy projects. Adam focuses on project financings and other complex project-related commodities and debt transactions across the renewable and conventional energy sectors, including ESG-related E&I financings.
