AI processor company Graphcore has raised $222 million in a Series E financing round. This brings the total investment in Graphcore to date to over $710 million, valuing the company at $2.77 billion.
Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board led the round with participation from funds managed by Fidelity International and Schroders, along with existing investors, including Baillie Gifford and Draper Esprit.
Orrick has advised Graphcore since its spin-out from client XMOS in 2016. The Orrick team advising on this financing includes Chris Grew, Jamie Moore, Stephen Tallon, Kirstie Parr, Douglas Lahnborg and Fiona Shajko.
