Orrick Advises on Consultation for Construction of 2024 Olympic Village in Paris

January.09.2020

We advised Icade Promotion, Caisse des Dépôts (Banque des Territoires) and CDC Habitat on the consultation launched by SOLIDEO (the Olympic Works Delivery Company) for the construction of Block D of the Olympic Village for the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in Paris.

The project includes the construction of a high-energy and environmental performance building complex of more than 48,000 sqm to host 3,000 athletes in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine. Following the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, the Olympic Village will be transformed into a new neighborhood called  "Les Quinconces" to benefit the surrounding area and the inhabitants of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine and Plaine Commune.

At the end of the consultation process, the consortium advised by Orrick and the Lasaygues notary firm was designated as the project's owner.

The Orrick team advising the consortium included partner Jean-Luc Champy, of counsel Geoffroy Berthon and associate Camille Fouque on public law aspects; partner Patrick Tardivy and associate Julien Beloeil on corporate aspects; partner Amaury de Feydeau on financing aspects; and partner Laurent Olléon and associates Rudy Marouani and Margot Janot on tax aspects.

The consortium was also assisted by a Lasaygues team that included Didier Lasaygues (associate notary), Isabelle Vidal-Subias (associate notary), Sophie Cascales (associate notary), Stanislas Baetz and Charlotte Jarret.
