How does a law firm end up in PEOPLE magazine?
Orrick did it by landing the #4 spot on PEOPLE’s 2019 Companies That Care list. PEOPLE singled out our firm for our family focus. “Orrick offers support for families at all stages of the life cycle,” PEOPLE wrote, highlighting our programs for new parents; child, adult and elder care benefits; and in-house parenting and caregiver classes.
“The firm goes the extra mile to help employees achieve a balance between work and family,” said one employee.
PEOPLE also called out our support of veterans, including the creation of the Veterans' Legal Career Fair – the nation's first career fair for lawyers who are veterans, active-duty service members and military spouses – and the benefits offered to reservist staffers called up to active duty.
Orrick is regularly recognized for our distinctive workplace culture. Also this week, we were named to The American Lawyer’s A-List, a measure of law firm culture, for the 11th time. Earlier this year, Fortune selected Orrick #15 among the 100 Best Companies to Work For – the highest-ranked law firm of only four firms on the 2019 list.
