Orrick Advises St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank on Pier Construction for World's Largest Cruise Ships

August.16.2018

A cross-practice Orrick team advised St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank on a $48 million, 15-year senior secured facility to St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority for the construction of a cruise ship pier in St. Kitts.

Once completed, the pier will be able to simultaneously berth two Oasis class cruise ships, currently the world's largest. Royal Caribbean's recently launched Symphony of the Seas, 1,188 feet long and weighing in at 230,000 tons, will be among the ships to start using the pier in 2019.

"It's exciting to see St. Kitts continuing to broaden their reach in the globally competitive tourism sector with the construction of their second pier. We are proud of our ability and experience in helping them accomplish their goals," said Orrick Banking & Finance partner Andrew Mattei.

The Orrick team was led by Andrew Mattei and included Michael Davey, Peter Tringali and Meredith Dawson.
