Orrick’s associates gave the firm our highest marks ever on The American Lawyer’s annual Midlevel Associate Survey, ranking Orrick #6 nationwide for job satisfaction. This follows the firm’s inclusion on the 2016 American Lawyer A-List for the eighth time, our selection to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For 2016” list and our #3 ranking as a Vault Best Law Firm to Work For.
In the survey’s regional rankings, Orrick also scored highly with the Houston and Sacramento offices taking first place; the Silicon Valley and Orange County offices taking second place; Washington, D.C. fourth; Los Angeles sixth; San Francisco seventh; and New York thirteenth.

The Midlevel Associates Survey asks third-, fourth-, and fifth-year associates to grade their firms in a number of areas. More than 70% of Orrick’s eligible associates participated in the 2016 survey.
The survey is the latest recognition for Orrick for our efforts to make the firm a great place to work for millennials. Orrick earlier this year became the first large law firm to offer student loan repayment assistance for new associates. Fortune also recognized Orrick as the only law firm on its 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials list.
