Orrick Adds 37-Lawyer CLO and Asset-Backed Lending Team to Its Comprehensive Debt Finance Platform

Orrick’s Charlotte office launched in the fall of 2025, anchored by a market-leading collateralized loan obligation team with longstanding ties to the region. The group is recognized as the No. 2 CLO arranger counsel by volume (9fin) and Chambers Global Band 1-ranked in the U.S. They collaborate closely with Orrick’s U.S. private credit practice, which acts for more than 40 fund managers, and its leading securitization teams across esoterics, ABS, RMBS and CMBS platforms, including practitioners in Washington, D.C., New York and London.
It is the firm’s fifth East Coast office, following the launch of Orrick Miami in 2025 with a three-partner M&A and private equity team focused on serving the region’s growing tech and innovation ecosystem.
