OAM - the Italian authority supervising credit brokers and financial agents - launched a public consultation about activities performed by online platforms. The consultation paper concerns the functioning of online platforms that collect users' personal information and credit behaviors to provide quotation on credit products.
OAM intends to clarify which activities may be provided freely by online platforms, in which cases and conditions these activities fall under the OAM supervised perimeter and, ultimately, authorisation is required.
The consultation is public and all participants are invited to provide comments by 18 February 2022.
