Silicon Valley Patent Trial Lawyer Amy Van Zant Joins Orrick

Van Zant has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice as a partner in its Silicon Valley office. Ms. Van Zant adds a roster of world class clients and tremendous trial experience to Orrick’s market-leading IP practice.

Demonstrating her skills, Ms. Van Zant very recently argued and won a set of motions on behalf of Ariba, Inc. in a trade secrets case against Coupa Software, Inc. She actively pursues pro bono matters related to domestic violence and regularly assists the San Mateo Legal Aid. A graduate of University of California, Hastings College of the Law and Stanford University, Ms. Van Zant began her career at Heller Ehrman, where she became a shareholder and worked with many litigators who are now members of the Orrick team.
