Orrick Announces 7th Annual Dive/In: A Day of Inclusion, Celebration and Education

On Wednesday, October 14, Orrick will host our seventh annual “Dive/In”—a worldwide celebration of the different backgrounds and cultures that constitute our global community. As part of this celebration, we are hosting diversity and inclusion events for clients and friends of the firm in five cities across the United States and in our Geneva office—each focused on a different view on diversity (Please note that our Portland office event at Bridge Meadows will take place Monday, October 12):

New York
A discussion and reception with Seneca Women founders, Ambassador Melanne Verveer and Kim Azzarelli on how some of the world's most inspiring women are using their growing economic power to build a better world.

Washington, D.C.
A reception and discussion featuring Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton on the quest for universal human and civil rights.

San Francisco
A reading of the American Foundation for Equal Rights' and Broadway Impacts' play "8”, written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. 

Silicon Valley
A reception, discussion and screening of the Peabody award-winning film Soft Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa with noted Berkeley filmmaker Abby Ginzberg.

Portland
A presentation, tour and afternoon reception for Orrick attorneys, staff, clients and friends of the firm at Bridge Meadows, a nationally recognized, innovative, intergenerational housing community in Portland.

Geneva
A reception and panel presentation on issues facing women practicing in various areas of international arbitration, including as counsel in international law firms, arbitrators (sole and co-arbitrator) and in academia.
