Orrick has been named to the National Law Journal’s 2018 Pro Bono Hot List, which recognizes the most significant pro bono work of the past year by law firms that “have taken on some of the biggest issues of our time.” This is the third time we’ve been named to the list.

In this feature on some of our major pro bono matters, the publication highlighted our efforts to enact legislation around the country criminalizing sextortion and our lead role in a successful constitutional challenge to Louisiana’s debtor prisons.

The recognition is the latest for Orrick’s longstanding effort to make a social impact through pro bono work. The American Lawyer has ranked us #9 for pro bono work among the nation’s 200 largest law firms for the past four years, and last year placed us #6 in the international pro bono rankings.
