Orrick Adds Role of Head of International Pro Bono & Community Responsibility

March.12.2018

Orrick is pleased to welcome Amy Heading as Head of International Pro Bono and Community Responsibility. Based in our London office, Amy will help the firm’s lawyers in 13 offices across Europe and Asia identify and pursue pro bono opportunities and help grow the impact of the firm’s international pro bono program, which has been consistently recognized as market leading.

“Making a social impact is incredibly important to us, to our associates and to our clients – and this is true globally. Certainly, there has never been a time when the private sector has been called upon to do more,“ said Orrick Chairman & CEO Mitch Zuklie. “We’re excited to be able to add a senior professional like Amy to help drive our efforts worldwide, particularly our collaborations with clients and our community partnerships.”

Amy will lead the firm’s international relationships in the social impact sector, including with charities, NGOs, UN agencies, and academic and government institutions, and create opportunities to collaborate with the firm’s clients on social impact efforts. She will collaborate closely with Orrick’s Pro Bono Counsel Rene Kathawala.

Most recently the director of pro bono at DLA Piper, Amy is a senior qualified lawyer from Australia and holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in law, human rights and international development.
