Josh Pollick, a senior associate in Orrick’s Santa Monica
office, is a member of the Technology Companies Group.
Josh represents high growth technology companies and venture
capital firms in many areas, including corporate and securities law, corporate formations,
venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and secondary
offerings. Legal500 recognizes Josh as a “Next Generation
Lawyer” in the area of US venture capital and emerging companies for 2017, a
recognition given to five lawyers nationwide, and Super Lawyers recognizes Josh
as a “Rising Star” in Business/Corporate for 2016 and 2017, a recognition given
to no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in California.
Josh’s company-side representations include AeroFS, Airmap, Bellhops, BrightBytes,
Captain401, Casetext, Casper, CREXi, Criteria Corp., Descartes Labs, FabFitFun,
Flutterwave, Genius, Jack Erwin, Meteor, Monica & Andy, Patch, Phase Four,
Romeo Power, Scale, Stripe, Twist Bioscience, uBeam, Verbling and Well Health.
In addition to his company-side representations, Josh has
represented leading venture capital firms and other strategic investors,
including Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures, Canal+, Coatue Management,
Iris Capital, Menlo Ventures and Wicklow Capital. He has also helped set up a
number of incubators and private funds, including Heavybit Industries.
Josh also works on a pro bono basis with the USC Startup
Garage and the UC Hastings School of Law start-up clinic to oversee law
students with formations of early-stage technology start-ups.
Prior to joining Orrick,
Josh was a corporate associate and a summer associate for Simpson Thacher &
Bartlett LLP. While attending law school, he served as a legal intern for Sony
Pictures’ Music Business and Legal Affairs group
