Deutsch: Orrick berät Fagerhult beim Kauf der WE-EF Gruppe
Orrick advised Swedish-listed lighting manufacturer Fagerhult in its acquisition of Germany’s WE-EF Group and its sister companies in Australia, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Thailand and the United States. The transaction is subject to the clearance by the German Federal Cartel Office.
Fagerhult develops, produces and markets lighting solutions for public environments such as schools, office blocks, retail areas, industries and hospitals. The company employs approximately 2,600 people and has offices in 20 countries around the world, including Germany.
The WE-EF Group, headquartered in Bispingen, Lower Saxony, specializes in lighting for outdoor areas. The group consists of seven companies with eight different locations on four continents.
Orrick previously advised Fagerhult on its 2016 purchase of LED Linear GmbH and its holdings in joint venture companies in the United States, France, UK, Switzerland, Singapore, India and the United Arab Emirates.
In this acquisition, Fagerhult was advised by Kristoffer Jacobsson, partner at the Swedish law firm Wesslau Söderqvist Advokatbyrå, and Orrick partner Konstantin Heitmann, who led a team of lawyers from Orrick’s Düsseldorf, London, Paris and New York offices, as well as lawyers from Clayton Utz (Australia) and Tilleke & Gibbins (Thailand).
