Orrick Recertified as a Women in Law Empowerment Forum Gold Standard Firm

June.22.2015

Orrick has been recognized as a Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) 2015 Gold Standard Firm for the third time.

WILEF Certification emphasizes the leadership roles achieved by equity women partners at the nation’s largest firms. Law firms are eligible for certification if they successfully demonstrate that women represent a meaningful percentage of their equity partners, of their highest leadership positions, of their governance and compensation committees, and of their most highly compensated partners.

“We applaud WILEF for their distinctive focus on the issue of women’s leadership,” said Mitch Zuklie, Orrick’s Chairman & CEO. “We are very fortunate to have five women among our 15 Board and Management Committee members, as well as women in many other key roles that shape the strategy and life of our firm. We look forward to including more women in such roles.”

Orrick’s efforts to retain and promote women lawyers have also been recently recognized by Yale Law Women, which named Orrick to its list of the Top Ten Family Friendly U.S. Law Firms for the fourth consecutive year, and by Euromoney Legal Media Group, which honored the firm with the award for “Best International Firm Mentoring Program” at the fourth annual Americas Women in Business Law Awards.
