Orrick Italy was awarded “Corporate Law Firm of the Year” by Legalcommunity.it, one of the most influential Italian legal publications, at a ceremony in Milan on June 30, 2015.
Orrick received the award in recognition of the significant work on corporate and compliance matters successfully carried out by Alessandro De Nicola and his team over the last year. This includes leading extensive corporate governance projects with a focus on Legislative Decree 231 for more than 130 clients, including Universal Music Italia S.r.l., Crédit Agricole Assurances Italia Holding S.p.A. and Enel S.pA., among others. Legislative Decree 231 introduced the direct liability of corporate entities for crimes committed by directors, executives and their subordinates into the Italian legal system.
In presenting the award, the publication noted that clients consider Orrick’s professionals valuable and excellent problem solvers, and added that clients feel “safe and protected” as a result of the firm’s support. Orrick was also recognized for the widespread esteem it has earned in the market for the team as a whole as well as the individual lawyers.
Orrick has maintained a presence in Italy for more than a decade, with approximately 100 lawyers in its Milan and Rome offices.
