Diana regularly represents international clients in complex litigation and brings a practical and strategic perspective to help clients achieve their legal objectives. 

Skilled at managing complex, high-stakes litigation, Diana works closely with clients to develop innovative and cost-effective case strategies and favorably resolve disputes. She has been involved in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal. Clients rely on her sophisticated thoughtful approach that ensures solutions align with overall business and organizational goals. Diana works with the Orrick team to coordinate strategy and minimize a client’s legal risk as well as reputational risk.

Diana has experience in commercial disputes including high profile bet-the-company litigation. She’s an integral member of the Orrick team on massive class actions and product liability matters. Additionally, Diana has litigated a range of intellectual property matters, including complex multi-defendant, multi-patent district court infringement actions and fast-paced Section 337 Investigations in the International Trade Commission, as well as copyright and trademark matters. 

Diana has served as a deputy to Orrick's Women's Initiative and is actively involved in Orrick's recruiting efforts. She previously co-chaired the Associates Committee of Orrick's Washington, D.C., office, and received the Mentor of the Year award in 2011. Diana joined Orrick's New York office in 2007. While in New York, she served on the Associates Committee for the Children's Aid Society in New York City and helped plan substantive programming by the Copyright Society of the USA. 

Prior to joining Orrick, Diana practiced law in Miami. She served the Miami community on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association and as a member of the Dade County eMentor program and the Women's Fund of Miami-Dade. 

  • Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution

    • Johnson & Johnson in nationwide tort litigation related to use of its talc containing products.
    • Chinese Drywall in federal multi-district class action litigation regarding allegations of defective drywall manufactured in China.
    • A U.S. public university system in connection with putative class actions seeking a return of tuition and fees due to COVID-related circumstances.

    Intellectual Property Litigation

    • Universal Lighting Technologies in a patent infringement lawsuit and week-long jury trial, followed by a high profile patent appeal before the en banc Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
    • DENSO International America Inc. in action alleging violations of the Audio Home Recording Act under the Copyright Act. Obtained summary judgment at the district court after a period of focused discovery. Ruling upheld on appeal before the Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
    • Panasonic Corporation and FUJIFILM Corporation, respectively, in multiple district court and ITC patent actions.
